Edie is bred for all three rings. She brings the best of German Shagya-Arabian breeding (6 of 8 ancestors in the third generation) and combines it with impeccable US foundation stock. From the well-known dressage-bred stallions Shagal, Shaman, and Amor she inherits height, bone, and lovely movement. From Oman and Gazal VII she inherits elegance and toughness as well as jump. Finally, from Bajar—one of the few Shagya-Arabians whose jumping talent led to his licensing by the Holsteiner Verband—she gets power and scope. As with most Shagya, she is highly people-orientated and is kind, gentle, and sweet, with easy rideability.

Edie has correct conformation, with a strong foundation, great feet, and harmonious frame. She has a medium-set neck, good pillar of support, long, sloping shoulders, steep-angled humerus, a longer ilium than femur alignment, medium stifle placement, and a fair alignment between her point of hip and the lumbosacral gap. She has a great topline and saddle position. Points to correct include her length of leg, which need more length.
