Elegant and refined mare. Forward, sensitive, sensible, she is sweet and attentive under saddle. Great athleticism and courage, fantastic form over fences. Very affectionate on the ground, she bonds nicely with her humans.

Pajou (pictured above) was bred by Ricarda Barton. Originally from Germany, Ricarda Barton-Wall has been a major influence on Trakehner bloodlines in North America. The Bartons came to the United States in 1980, bringing with them two important stallions — Ricardo and Avignon II — and 15 top-quality mares. Avignon II, a son of the Elite stallion Flaneur, was a brother to the legendary Arogno. He was the sire of Pajou.
Pajou was a substantial, athletic, and charismatic stallion who sired several dressage, hunter, and eventing horses. He also sired the approved premium stallion Armata.
DAM: DANCING IN THE SUN XX / THOROUGHBRED / 1986
Dancing in the Sun xx (pictured below) was a highly refined, athletic mare. She had a particularly elegant head and graceful neck, set on strong sloping shoulders. Her damline is TB-23b, traced to Burton Barb Mare, born 1657. Her pedigree shows considerable linebreeding to the legendary Nearco through his descendants Northern Dancer, Native Dancer, and Never Bend. Other racing greats include Ribot, Chaucer, St Simon, Discovery, Princequillo, and Fair Play (sire of Man o’ War).
