Bred originally for the Tsarist Court and Austro-Hungarian military, they were designed to carry officers across vast distances with absolute soundness. Crucially, they also served as a premier “improver” breed. When early European warmblood registries needed to inject endurance, structural efficiency, and hardened tendons into their lines, they turned to these cavalry lines.
