Nina has a very special pedigree. Her sire Janos was was bred in Germany and imported to Canada. Janos began his endurance career in 2005 and in three seasons completed 17 fifty-mile rides, placing Top 10 in 9 of them with 100% completion rate. In 2006 he completed his first FEI-level 100-mile ride. He was sold in 2007 to a Japanese millionaire, and unfortunately died several months later due to colic complications. In these three seasons Janos logged over 1,000 AERC miles. Nina’s dam is the beautiful Niobe, foaled in Germany in 1986. Niobe is a full sister to the approved stallion Nicolo, who was champion at his German stallion licensing with average scores of 9. She herself is the dam of the approved stallion Nikolas Royale AF, and granddam to the approved stallion Nicolette’s Revelation through her daughter Nicolette.

Nina has correct conformation, with a strong foundation, great feet, and harmonious frame. She has a medium-set neck, good pillar of support, long, somewhat sloping shoulders, steep-angled humerus, equal alignment between her ilium and femur sides, average stifle placement, and good alignment between her point of hip and the lumbosacral gap. Points to correct include her frame, which could be shorter, her front legs, which toe-in, and more slope and angle to her shoulder.

At her evaluation, judges praised her harmonious body, charming expression, and feminine head. Her walk was judged as adequate with a need for more action (6), her trot and canter as ground-covering (7/7).
